Dean Martin's "Everybody Loves Somebody Sometime" was a rare occurence in 1964 -- a traditional American artist at the top of the chart. The last song added to his album, "Dream With Me," the record didn't do much to begin with, but slowly picked up steam and knocked The Beatles out of the top spot on August 15th, 1964.
