Julie Michelle Weyand Kreizel was diagnosed with ALS (amyotrophic lateral scleross) in September of 2020. She passed away on May 31, 2024. The last month of her life was "ALS Awareness Month." Julie's contribution to that awareness was a series of Facebook posts that described her experiences with ALS. Julie was an educator, and as her oldest child, Linzie expressed it, those posts were her last lessons. Many people have expressed to us how much those posts touched their hearts and indeed made them more aware of what ALS does. Since some people do not access Facebook, or might find it difficult to track down all these messages, I have published this web site. The main purpose is to provide all access to Julie's "lessons." But I am also including other items. One is the video I made which was shown at the Thursday night visitation and at the luncheon following the funeral.

Our whole family grieves for the loss of Julie. But we are at peace in the assurance that she has been made whole again in heaven with her Saviour. Her strong faith shines through the lessons she delivered. And even though my tears are still falling on my keyboard as I type this, I know I will see her again.

Jules -- you got there before me, but "don't give up on me -- I'll meet you when my chores are through."*
