| In the Lincoln Journal Star final season rankings there are several things of note. In Class B, although Crete did not make the tournament (losing to Pius in the District final, 76 - 75, they were ranked #3. The other non tournament team to make the top ten was Syracuse, also a loser to Pius in the district, but the only team to have beaten Wahoo. Some would say Wahoo was better off moving up to Class B in 1988 as in Class C1 they would have had to have faced Atkinson West Holt, a powerful team that went 24 - 0. |
