wall photo .... plaque .... championship photo

The picture placed on the wall of the 1988 Championship team set a precedent. The 1989 team was also honored with a picture that was placed on the wall next to 1988. Those in the picture were the 12 who had played in the State Tournament and the coaches.

Under the picture on the plaque was engraved the team accomplishments:
"Record 26 - 0 was the best in school's history. District B-3 Champions, Capitol Conference Season and Tournament Champions, Holiday Tournament Champions, Third straight State Tournament berth and second straight State Championship, 38 consecutive victories, #1 Rated Class B Team in both the Omaha World Herald and Lincoln Journal Staar, Tenth rated in final alll-class ratings of Omaha World Herald"

Those in the picture were then identified as:
Front Row: Ryan Eddie, Rob Brigham, Bernie Inbody
2nd Row: Troy Johnston, Ass't Coach Guy Dunning, Head Coach Mick Anderson, Ass't Coach Mark Watton, Ass't Coach Harry Kasischke, Cliff Kreizel
3rd Row: Steve Volin, Jason Glock, Randy Hoffman, Scott Latham, Mike Dvorak, Ron Stoupa, Troy Glock

It's an NSAA tradition to take a photo of the Championship team after the game, for each class. The picture is taken at center court. Again, the 12 players in uniform were included. Troy Glock and Cliff Kreizel had the honor of wearing the nets. This photo would be used for the state tournament program in 1990 which always displays the previous year's Champion.
