With the top seed in the B-2 District, Wahoo won the right to host the round one game against 2 - 15 Ashland who the Warriors had defeated by 76 points earlier in the season. In a game the Warriors expected to win, they did get to test the ankle of starter Randy Hoffman who had missed the previous two games. Hoffman came off the bench to score 8 points and grab 11 rebounds. Wahoo sprinted to the expected lead in the first half, 60 - 20. Coach Anderson subbed extensively as all 12 players saw action in the first half and the reserves were on the court in the final minutes of the first half when Wahoo went on a 14 - 0 scoring run. Jason Glock poured in 21 first half points on the way to his team leading 38. Trent Toline was the only other Warrior in double figures with 10, but 11 players scored.
