Waverly: 14 ... 13 ... 25 ... 15 -- 67
It looked like business as usual when Wahoo walked off the court at half time in the District B-2 semifinal at Bellevue West High School. The Warriors ended the second quarter with a 10 - 2 scoring spurt, were ahead 51 - 27 and Jason Glock was well on his way to another outstanding game (he would total 42 points). But Waverly never quit and did accomplish something few teams had done -- they outscored the Warriors in the third and fourth quarter. Waverly coach, Mark Cordes pointed out that, I thought our team came back in the secnd half and played with a lot of heart. The final result was still a convincing 87 - 67 Wahoo win, but it was better than a lot of teams had done. Mike Dvorak scored 12 points and led the team with 14 rebounds. Ryan Eddie scored 11 and Randy Hoffman, 16.
