Wahoo made up for a sluggish offense by clamping down its defense on the visiting David City Aquinas Monarchs. The Warriors limited the Monarchs to less than 17% shooting and held the visitors to just 12 first half points. Aquinas’ box-and-one defense on Jason Glock, limited his production (18 points) but Steve Volin put in 14 and Ryan Eddie had 13. Bernie Inbody canned 3 threes in the second period to put Wahoo in a solid lead. Coach Anderson noted that Aquinas was without two of its starters and lamented that the team had been “looking forward to playing Aquinas at full strength, but that’s the way it goes.”
