WAHOO: 22 ... 33 ... 25 ... 23 .... 103
Ashland: 12 ... 22 ... 16 ... 21 .... 71

Wahoo broke the Nebraska record for consecutive wins with their 79th in a row as they downed Ashland 103 - 71. But Ashland didn’t go quietly as the Bluejays’ 71 points was the most scored by any team against Wahoo during the streak. Still, Wahoo had a commanding 55 - 34 half time lead, largely due to Jason Glock’s 22 (he would finish with 31) and Bernie Inbody’s 5 three pointers (he would finish with 20 points). Also in double figures were Joel Weyand (12) and Trent Toline (13). Players and coaches alike expressed a feeling of accomplishment with the win, but also acknowledged that it was good to have the pressure of the record set aside. Ashland presented Wahoo with the game ball in the locker room after the game. Ashland coach, Kent Kingston commented, “Wahoo’s a class act and we want to be one also.”
