The Warriors opened the ‘90 - ‘91 season with a 9 - 0 run against visiting David City and proceeded to rack up a 34 - 4 first quarter advantage with 18 coming from Jason Glock. A swarming full court press forced 29 Scout turnovers for the game and the starters were on the bench for the entire fourth quarter. With a 70 point win in the opener, Coach Anderson was already cautioning his team not to become complacent: “I told the guys not to pat ourselves on the back too long becasuse there is a lot of basketball to play.” Junior, Trent Toline got his first start and responded with 18 points, 12 in the 3rd quarter. Veteran senior, Steve Volin sat out the game with an injury.
