Gretna came closer to Wahoo than any other team had done all year, but the Warriors claimed a 5th consecutive District title.

Wahoo won its way back into the state tournament with a 70 - 54 win over Gretna. The Dragons did not go quietly, staying within 10 points midway into the third quarter. Ryan Eddie scored all 14 of his 15 points in the first half to keep the Warriors in the lead and then Jason Glock scored 26 of Wahoo’s 34 second half points to bring home the win. Coach Anderson expressed relief that his team would get to defend its Class B crown at state: “You don’t want to go 22-1 and not make the state tournament.”
