Wahoo opened its fifth consecutive appearance at the State Tournament with LIncoln Pius X. It was the fourth straight year the Thunder Bolts had faced the Warriors in the tournament, losing the previous three meetings. The 1991 match would be no different with Wahoo scoring a 66 - 41 victory. Wahoo got an early lead and never relinquished it. The Warriors pushed a four point first quarter lead to 14 by halftime and eventually led by as many as 30 points in the third period as Ryan Eddie netted all eight of his points. Challenging every Pius shot attempt out of the 1-3-1 zone, the Warriors limited Pius to 21% shooting in the first three quarters. The Bolts did get on track in the final stanza, matching Wahoo’s 22 points, but that wasn’t nearly good enough. Jason Glock led all scorers with 29, while Steve Volin also reached double digits with 10.
