1/28/1991 vs. Raymond Central ... CONFERENCE / HOME / CONFERENCE TOURNAMENT / Finals

Season Game #: 14 / Streak Game #: 78 / Current Record: 14 - 0

WAHOO: 19 ... 13 ... 22 ... 28 .... 82
Raymond Central: 11 ... 10 ... 12 ... 17 .... 50

Raymond Central offered up a stiff challenge to Wahoo’s effort at a third consecutive Capitol Conference Tournament title, claiming a 11 - 10 lead late in the first quarter. But Wahoo responded with 9 consecutive points to take a lead they would not relenquish. But the Mustangs stayed closer than most teams had been able to do, closing to within 10 in the third quarter before the Wahoo pressure sparked a rally that ended with two Ryan Eddie three’s that put the score at 54 - 33. The Warriors eventually prevailed 82 - 50. Jason Glock was held to 23 by Central’s box and one defense. Eddie (11), Joel Weyand (10) and Jeff Simons (10) also reached double figures. Coach Anderson called the Warriors’ early play a “little ragged” and Jason Glock allowed that the pressure of tying the all time Nebraska win streak at 78 might have made Wahoo “a little tight.”

Noteworthy:
