Wahoo’s fourth consecutive appearance in the state championship game proved to be more of a challenge than most expected. When Brandon Krichner hit a three pointer for York at the end of the first half, York led 36 - 32. It was the first time Wahoo had trailed at half the entire season. But the Warriors answered the challenge, outscoring the Dukes 24 - 3 in the third quarter and went on to claime a 62 - 50 win. Coach Anderson recognized the York effort after the contest: “My hat’s off to York. Their kids came ready to play They had a good game plan and played us as tough as anybody has.”
