Wahoo welcomed Conestoga to Capitol Conference play with a 102 - 51 drubbing in their own gym. With Mike Hancock, Jeff Simons and Joel Weyand each recording 5 steals, the Wahoo press created easy basket opportunities and Wahoo sprinted to a 31 - 8 first quarter lead. Ten Wahoo players saw the court in the first half and by game’s end 12 had scored. Coach Anderson commented, “We were able to establish our press early and it paid off for us.” Five Warriors reached double figures: Trent Toline (24), Justin Anderson (17), Weyand (17), Simons (13), and Sean Brennan (10) who scored all of his coming off the bench in the second half.
