Wahoo took its first step toward an unprecedented fifth consecutive state title with a 92 - 55 thrashing of Plattsmouth in the first round of the 1992 Nebraska Class B Boys State Basketball Tournament. Behind a record tying six three point goals by Mike Hancock, the Warriors set a new Class B tournament scoring record. The Blue Devils never had a chance as the Wahoo pressure defense forced eight first quarter turnovers that the Warriors quickly converted into points. By half time, Wahoo had built a 45 - 21 lead. And Wahoo continued its assault all the way to the end of the game. Hancock (21) was joined in double figures by Trent Toline (20), Jeff Simons (16) and Justin Anderson (11).
