Wahoo got off to a great start against David City Aquinas, scoring the first 13 points of the game which included three threes, each by a different Warrior (Joel Weyand, Mike Hancock, and Justin Anderson). At the same time the Warriors clamped on their press, ultimately forcing 36 Monarch turnovers for the game. Aquinas Coach Kevin Scheef commented, “They’re making you work very hard to get the ball up the court.” Already leading by 25 at half, the Warriors stepped on the gas at the start of the third quarter outscoring the visitors 38 - 14. Wahoo was led by Joel Weyand’s 23 points, and put all five starters in double figures as Travis Toline scored 18, Justin Anderson and Greg Hain each tallied 17 points, and Mike Hancock contributed 12 points.
