The game was similar to the December meeting between the two teams when Schuyler kept it close and then fell victim to a couple of Wahoo runs that put the game out of reach. This time the home Warriors were still within 8 as the end of the first quarter approached, but Wahoo started on a 23 - 0 run that stretched into the second quarter and ultimately put Wahoo up 48 - 22 at the half. Coach Anderson pointed out that “the kids played very unselfishly” as Joel Weyand dished out 10 assists and Justin Anderson added 9. Mike Hancock led the scoring blitz with 25 points that included 5 three’s. Joining Hancock in double figures were Weyand with 20 and Greg Hain with 19. For the second time on the season, f\Mike Simons came off the bench and reached double figures as the freshman tallied 10 points.
