"If you could handle their press, they're not real big. But, oooh, are they really quick." -- Elkhorn Mt. Michael Coach Jim Kane

The Mount Michael Knights were the most notable opponent left on the Wahoo schedule -- when the Warriors played them on January 5th in Elkhorn, they were undefeated.

“We know we will have mismatches some nights, but the kids know they need to get better. We have team goals and individual goals and the kids have stayed focused.” -- Coach Anderson
THE QUICK & THE DEAD

“There is quick .... there is cat quick .... and there is Wahoo quick” -- The Oakland Independent.
Speed Kills. Quickness Kills. The Wahoo basketball team that entered 1993 was a formidable force. In the remaining regular season there would be no credible threat. The Warriors would slice through the rest of the schedule like the angel of death wielding its merciless scythe. They would win by an average of 46 points. The closest any team would come would be 33 points. When all was said and done, there would be 19 teams listed on the headstone mounted on the side of Redemption Road.
