Wahoo claimed its second victory of the season over Valley, 100 - 55, and achieved its sixth consecutive regular season Capitol Conference championship. The Warriors’ easy win was again the product of a pressing defense as Coach Anderson stated, “We jumped on them and got into our press.” The result was a 20 point advantage at the end of the first quarter and 33 at the end of the half. The Wahoo starters were pulled half way through the third quarter with Joel Weyand the lead scorer with 22 points while Greg Hain contributed 18, and Mike Hancock 10. Justin Anderson connected on three three pointers in the first quarter for his 9 points. Freshman Mike Simons came off the bench in the second half and reached double figures with 14 points, connecting on 7 of 9 freethrows. Travis Toline, the Warriors’ starting center sat out the game due to the flu.
