The Warriors limited Valley to only 3 first quarter points, forcing eight turnovers in the period. Valley Coach, Charlie Doeden called two first quarter timeouts to try and stem the Warrior tide, but it had little effect as Wahoo rolled to a 23 - 3 lead. A second quarter burst pushed the lead to 34 - 3 and eventually to 47 - 13 at the half.
