1/4/1994 vs. Elkhorn Mt. Michael ... NONCONFERENCE / HOME / REGULAR SEASON /

Season Game #: 10 / Current Record: 9 - 1

WAHOO: 19 ... 26 ... 18 ... 22 .... 85
Elkhorn Mt. Michael: 9 ... 9 ... 16 ... 23 .... 57

Just four days after competing in a four game Lincoln tournament, Wahoo returned to regular season play and defeated Elkhorn Mt. Michael 85 - 57. The Wahoo victory didn’t start off in typical fashion as the Warriors found themselves trailing 8 - 9 with two minutes to go in the first quarter. But when Mike Hancock connected on a buzzer beater three, Wahoo had finished a 10 point run that gave the Warriors a 19 - 9 lead. Then Wahoo rattled off the first 11 points of the second period and Travis Toline scored 9 in the quarter to pace Wahoo to a 27 point lead at the half. Hancock and Toline each finished with 20 points for Wahoo and were joined by Mike Simons (15) and Greg Hain (14) in double figures. Coach Anderson also credited sophomore Josh Anderson for his contribution off the bench as he “caused some turnovers” that led to easy Wahoo baskets. Calling Mt. Michael one of the “tougher opponents” on the Wahoo schedule, Coach Anderson admitted that “things went better than I even anticipated.”

Noteworthy:
Leading Scorer: Mike Hancock, Travis Toline 20 pts.
