12/21/1993 vs. Raymond Central ... CONFERENCE / HOME / HOLIDAY TOURNAMENT / Semi Final

Season Game #: 4 / Current Record: 4 - 0

WAHOO: 45 ... 25 ... 24 ... 23 .... 117
Raymond Central: 8 ... 13 ... 11 ... 13 .... 45

Wahoo blasted Raymond Central 117 - 45 in the first round of the 1993 Wahoo Holiday Tournament. Leading 14 - 4 early in the first quarter, Wahoo went on a 25 - 0 run as Travis Toline netted 15 first quarter points. The Warriors forced the Mustangs into 13 first quarter turnovers which contributed to the offensive explosion. And the Warriors didn’t let up as Wahoo outscored Raymond Central by ten or more points in every quarter. When the starters went to the bench early in the third period, the reserves went to work, led by Josh Anderson who scored 9 in the fourth quarter. Wahoo had six players in double figures: Mike Hancock (23), Toline (21), Greg Hain (14), Mike Simons (13), Sean Forbes (12), and Anderson (11). The effort was pleasing to Coach Anderson as he noted that “We got the ball to the open man pretty well tonight. Tonight it just seemed like the better things went for us the worse they went for Raymond Central. Things really snowballed.” Raymond Central coach, Dale Rasmussen lamented, “We came in saying ‘we’re going to get beat’ and you can’t do that against Wahoo.”
