One week after defeating Ashland in the Capitol Conference Tournament, Wahoo repeated the feat, downing the Blue Jays 81 - 63 at Ashland. The game had some similarities to the first contest as Ashland led most of the first half but fell victim to a third quarter burst by the Warriors. Ahead by just two at half, Wahoo came out in a full court press to start the second half and forced Ashland turnovers that led to a 10 - 3 run. Ashland coach Kent Kingston commented, “Their pressure caused our shot selection to be horrible.” Ashland bounced back from the third quarter onslaught and closed to within 69 - 61 in the fourth quarter but Wahoo responded with another run to put the game away. Josh Anderson led the Warriors with 27 while Mike Simons scored 25 and Eric Eddie added 18 on 4-of-8 shooting on three pointers.
