Wahoo won its eighth consecutive Holiday Tournament* championship, downing Wahoo Neumann 73 - 53. Facing Neumann for the first time since 1991, the Warriors applied full court pressure to force 21 first half turnovers and take a commanding 41 - 23 lead. Neumann coach, Paul Johnson commented “We knew we had to attack their press and we didn’t do it. It kind of took us out of the ballgame.” The Cavaliers tried to slow down Wahoo’s leading scorer, Mike Simons, by double teaming him most of the game, but Simons still managed to lead the team with 28 points. Half of Simons’ points came in the fourth quarter as others propelled Wahoo to its early lead. In all, four Warriors reached double figures (Eric Eddie - 10; Ryan Fiala - 11; Josh Anderson - 15).
