The Warriors defeated Capitol Conference foe Syracuse 83 - 48 to keep their record a perfect 11 - 0 on the season. The game followed Wahoo’s typical pattern for the season as Syracuse stayed close in the early minutes, but the Wahoo defense clamped down in the second quarter, allowing only seven Rocket points as the Wahoo lead climbed to 19 points. Part of Syracuse’s early success was due to a diamond and one defense employed against Wahoo’s leading scorer Mike Simons. However, that left Josh Anderson open and he knocked down 9 of 13 shots and had his first 20 point game. Simons still led the team with 24 points.
