Season Game #: 23 / Current Record: 23 - 0

Valley: 6 ... 11 ... 8 ... 23 .... 48

Wahoo sputtered its way to a first round 66 - 46 win over Valley in the Class C!-5 subdistrict played at Bellevue. Valley had lost to the Warriors two weeks earlier by 44 points and this time around chose to slow the game down a bit. Valley coach Charlie Doeden commented, “We knew we didn’t have the speed to come out and run with them, so we had to slow things down.” The result was a loss, but it was the closest Valley had played the Warriors in eight seasons. Wahoo did lead by 34 at the end of three quarters, but the Terriers outscored Wahoo’s reserves 23 - 7 in the final period. Wahoo got off to a 17 - 6 first quarter lead, but couldn’t build much on the lead in the second period as the Warriors only connected on 5-of-20 shots. The poor shooting continued and Wahoo finished 25-of-75, its poorest performance of the season. Mike Simons led Wahoo with 25 points while Josh Anderson contributed 13.
