In the first round of the Nebraska Holiday Prep Classic, Wahoo lost to Sterling, 83 - 67. It was the first time in 10 seasons that Wahoo had suffered back-to-back losses. Sterling, the #1 ranked team in Class D1 dominated the Warriors on the boards (45-30). Wahoo took a two point first half lead by forcing 12 Jet turnovers, but Sterling took better control of the ball in the second half and pulled ahead in the third quarter. Five Jets scored in double figures, including 23 by all-state player, Justin Haynes. Mike Simons led Wahoo scorers with 20 and Ryan Fiala scored his season high with 15.
