Valley: 16 ... 18 ... 5 ... 21 .. .... 60

The final result for Wahoo’s trip to Valley was a decisive 84 - 60 win, but it wasn’t easy getting there. Wahoo has dominated Valley in recent years, winning by an average of 45 points, but this Terrier team challenged the Warriors. Valley took a five point lead in the first quarter, and again in the second quarter. But behind 12 points from Mike Simons, Wahoo regained the lead and was ahead 38 - 34 at half. Valley coach Charlie Doeden commented, “I’m real pleased the way we came out in the first half.” The third quarter more resembled previous Valley games as Wahoo outscored the Terriers 25 - 5 to produce the 24 point winning margin. Valley only managed to make two of eleven shots and committed five turnovers in the period. Doeden noted, “We didn’t execute in that third quarter and missed some shots we needed to have.” Simons led Wahoo in scoring with 28 points while Josh Anderson scored 14, and Josh Herrmann 12. The win gave Wahoo a perfect 8-0 record in the Capitol Conference and the regular season championship.
