Wahoo put up its highest point total of the season, defeating Phoenix Valley Lutheran in the consolation semifinal of the Nebraska Prep High School Classic. The Warriors raced to a 28 - 5 first quarter advantage and stretched that to a 56 - 15 half time lead. Ahead 7 - 4 early in the first period, the Warriors went on a 29-1 run to effectively put the game out of reach at half time with a 56 - 15 lead. It was a bounce back game for the Warriors after two consecutive losses. The Warriors were paced by Mike Simons’ 29 points while Josh Anderson netted 19 and Eric Eddie and Josh Herrmann made it four Warriors in double figures, each totalling 14. Coach Watton commented on the win: “The kids played hard and with intensity on the defensive end and that’s the way we have to play each game.”
