The "Glory Days" era ends with the 1998 State Championship. But that is not to imply that the Wahoo Basketball program has been without success since then. Indeed, under Coach Mark Watton from 1995 to 2001 and Coach Kevin Scheef from 2002 through the 2022 season, Wahoo has consistently produced winning teams. In 2000 and 2007, the Warriors won District Championships and returned to state. Since 2012, the Warriors have qualified for the state tournament every year except 2016 and 2021. The 2012 team qualified for the state tournament as a wildcard and finished second. The 2013 team took its place among the championship teams of the "Glory Days" with a Class C1 State Championship. In 2014, Wahoo made its third consecutive appearance in the state finals. The Warriors returned to state in 2015, losing in the first round to eventual champion, Winnebago. In 2017, the Warriors reached the championship game but lost to Wahoo Neumann. The 2018 team claimed Wahoo's 11th championship, winning the Class C1 championship game in overtime over Winnebago. The 2019, 2020, 2022 and 2023 teams also qualified for the state tournament. All teams since 1985 have had winning records and 34 of the 37 teams have been ranked in the top ten at the end of the season.
