vs. Seward

12/06/08 at Wahoo
Wahoo     56
Seward    70
The Wahoo Warriors were defeated by the Seward Bluejays 70-56.
Seward would take a 15-11 lead after one quarter. Wahoo would score the next 5 points behind a Layne Moore trey and two Tyler Brunsting free throws, but it would be the last lead of the game for the Warriors. Seward would open up a 27-22 lead at halftime. The Bluejays would extend the lead to 8 at 42-34 after three quarters, before going on to the 70-56 win.

"This was an extremely disappointing and frustrating night. After playing extremely hard last night against Bennington, we did not bring any of that effort or intensity to the game tonight. Seward outworked us in every facet of the game. I did a poor job of getting these guys ready to play tonight, and we have a very long ways to go to become the kind of team we can become," said Head Coach Kevin Scheef.
One night after scoring 43 points against Nebraska City, Senior guard Phil Friedrich had 26 to lead Seward. Taylor Murren had 15 to lead Wahoo, followed by Layne Moore with 12, and Tyler Brunsting with 11. Jason Demaray added 9 off the bench.

The Warriors were plagued by poor shooting again, as they shot just 32.6% (14-43) from the field. Seward, however, shot 52.4% (22-42) from the field.
Wahoo's next game will be Saturday at Logan View.
