In the second quarter, the Warrior gradually extended the lead. Nine second quarter points from Max Cook, and 7 from Greg Milliken gave the Warriors a 39-23 lead at halftime.

A 16-1 run to start the third quarter put the game away for the Warriors as they built the lead to 55-24. Milliken had 10 third quarter points, and Wahoo led 57-32 after three quarters, before going on to the 28 point win.

Greg Milliken led the Warriors with 24 points. Max Cook contributed 14 points, 7 boards, 4 steals, and 4 assists. Casey Brown had 11 points on 4-4 shooting from the field, and 2-2 from the line, to go along with 7 boards. Josh Discher had 9 points, and a team high 9 boards.

Wahoo outrebounded the Bluejays 37-30, and committed just 10 turnovers compared to 21 for Ashland.

Coach Scheef: “I was very pleased with how we played against Ashland as well as with the entire tournament. I think we put together three pretty good games this week. I think that we are steadily improving, and hope that we can continue to do that as we enter the stretch drive towards districts. Greg Milliken was really tough offensively tonight. Max has done a great job of running the team from the point guard spot. Josh Discher continues to do a great job on the glass for us. Sean Lindgren plays really good post defense for us. Cole Barry is a great role player for us, and has shot the ball well for us. Casey Brown has really picked up his level of play and is shooting the ball very well as of late. Jon Abbott gives us a lot of athleticism, and Christian Hohl has given us some good minutes off the bench.”

Wahoo improves to 12-4, and will host Arlington on Friday, and GICC on Saturday in their final home games of the season.
