WAHOO RETURNS TO STATE! -- Wahoo made it all the way to the championship game, claiming the runner-up trophy. The Warriors were defeated in the Subdistrict Final by Wahoo Neumann. Neumann went on to win the District Championship over Columbus Lakeview and was the #5 seed in the tournament. The Warriors got the first wildcard spot and were seeded #3 playing the other wildcard entry, Milford, the #6 seed in the first round. Although trailing most of the game, the Warriors mounted a fourth quarter rally and advanced with a 61 - 56 win. In the second round, the Warriors were able to establish a lead over Minden and withstand the #2 seed's fourth quarter charge, winning 73 - 69. In the championship game, Wahoo again led most of the game, but Boys Town was able to take the lead in the fourth quarter and hung on, sinking two freethrows with .1 seconds remaining for the 58 - 55 win. It was Wahoo's first appearance in the state title game since 1998. Click here for more on the state title game.
