The Wahoo Warriors defeated the Schuyler Warriors 66-27 on Friday night in the final regular season game.

The Warriors led 17-1 after one quarter, and stretched the lead to 30-1 with about 3 minutes to play in the half. Schuyler scored the next 7 points to cut the lead to 30-8. Max Cook hit a trey to make the score 33-8 at halftime. Cook had 15 first half points.

Wahoo extended the lead to 51-17 after three quarters, before reserves finished up the fourth quarter.

Coach Scheef: “I was pleased with our effort, our intensity, and our defensive execution. It was the way we wanted to play heading into sub-district action.”

Max Cook led the Warriors with 20 points on 4-7 shooting from 3 point range, and 5 steals. Jon Abbott had 15 points, 4 boards, and 4 steals. Ben Scheef added 11 points and 6 boards. Quinn McGill had a game high 8 boards to go with 4 steals and 4 assists. Casey Brown added 5 points and 6 boards.

Wahoo outrebounded Schuyler 40-20 and forced 23 Schuyler turnovers. Wahoo improves to 21-2. Schuyler drops to 1-18. Wahoo will begin sub-district action on Tuesday at Waverly as they will face the winner of the Monday night game between Louisville and Conestoga.
