The Wahoo Warriors defeated the Columbus Scotus Shamrocks 75-46 on Tuesday night in Columbus.

The Warriors scored the first 15 points of the game, led by Quinn McGill’s five first quarter points. A Ben Scheef basket closed the first quarter with the Warriors up 17-2.

The Shamrocks cut the Warrior lead to 12 at 33-21, but a Jonathan Abbott bucket at the buzzer gave the Warriors a 35-21 halftime lead. Abbott and Ben Scheef each scored eight second quarter points.

Wahoo outscored Scotus 18-12 in the third quarter to increase the lead to 53-33 after three quarters. Ben Scheef scored 10 third quarter points. Wahoo would increase the lead to as much as 32 in the final period, before ending with the 75-46 win.

Ben Scheef led the Warriors with 24 points on 9-13 shooting from the field, and 5-6 from the free throw line, to go with 5 boards. Jonathan Abbott had 16 points and 4 boards. Quinn McGill had 8 points, 6 boards, 4 steals, and 4 assists. Brook Stuart added 7 points. Jake Wilson had 6 points and 7 boards. Jake Scheef had 6 points, 3 steals, and 4 assists. Tyler Kavan added 4 points, 4 boards, and 4 assists.

The Warriors shot 51.7% from the floor while holding the Shamrocks to 28.8% shooting from the field. Wahoo was 13-15 from the foul line and committed just 6 turnovers compared to 17 for Scotus.

Wahoo improves to 20-0, while Scotus drops to 12-7. The Warriors will travel to Ashland on Saturday to take on the Bluejays in the final conference game of the year.
