Wahoo has had its share of last second heroics in the state tournament. In 1988 it was "the drive" by Steve Carmer. In 1989 it was "the shot" by Troy Glock. In 1996 it was "the tip" by Mike Simons. In 2014, Gavin Iversen added to that legacy with "the recovery."

With just 2.7 seconds left on the clock at the end of regulation, Wahoo was trailing Falls City 50 - 52. Coach Scheef called timeout and a play was set to throw a full court pass to Jake Scheef for a last second attempt to tie the game and go into overtime.

2) The ball goes over Scheef's head
3) The ball bounces off of Gavin Iversen
4) Iversen goes for the ball
5) Iversen retrieves the ball
6) Iversen shoots
7) The ball comes off the glass
8) Wahoo celebrates as the ball goes through the net

Wahoo went on to win the game in overtime, 64 - 58.
