The Wahoo Warriors defeated the Platteview Trojans 48-38 in the Capitol Conference Finals on Saturday night at Platteview to claim their 5th consecutive Capitol Conference title.

The Warriors led 10-6 after one quarter. The score was tied at 12 with four minutes to play in the half, when the Warriors went on a run. A Jake Scheef trey put the Warriors up three. A Gavin Iversen bucket pushed the lead to five. A Jake Scheef bucket was followed was followed by two Iversen free throws and a putback by Lincoln Belitz, completed an 11-0 run to put Wahoo up 23-12. The half ended with Wahoo up 23-14.

The Warriors led 32-25 after three quarters. Jake Ruzickas would score six consecutive points for the Warriors late in the third and early in the fourth. Platteview would cut the lead to five twice, the last time at 36-31, with five minutes left. A Gavin Iversen bucket made it 38-31, and two Jake Scheef free throws and bucket made it 42-31, and the Warriors would go on to the 48-38 win.

Jake Scheef led Wahoo with 22 points and 4 steals. Jake Ruzicka had 12 points and 10 boards. Gavin Iversen had 12 points, 7 boards, and 5 steals. Dalton Lamprecht added 5 boards.

Wahoo improved to 14-3, while Platteview falls to 10-7
