The Wahoo Warriors defeated the Lincoln Christian Crusaders 50-31 in the first round of the Wahoo Holiday Tournament.

The Warriors used a big first quarter to take control of the game. Wahoo led 17-1 after one quarter, behind 8 first quarter points from Jake Scheef, and 7 from Jake Ruzicka.

Wahoo saw the lead cut to 25-13 at halftime, but used the third quarter to take control back of the game. Wahoo led 44-25 after three quarter, and increased the lead to 50-25 with six minutes left in the game.

Jake Ruzicka scored a game high 23 points on 10-15 shooting from the field, including 3-4 from behind the arc, and had 4 boards, 3 blocks and 3 steals. Jake Scheef added 16 points, 4 boards, and 4 assists. Dalton Lamprecht contributed 6 points and 7 boards, and Gavin Iversen had 6 boards, 5 steals, and 7 assists.

Wahoo outrebounded Lincoln Christian 31-15.

Wahoo improves to 5-1 and will face Bishop Neumann in the finals of the Holiday Tournament today at Wahoo.
