The Wahoo Warriors defeated the Columbus Scotus Shamrocks 82-52 on Tuesday night in Columbus.
The Warriors led after one quarter 16-6, and after a Blake Lacey trey at the buzzer, led 38-22 at the half.
Wahoo led 62-43 after three quarters before extending the final margin to 30 at 82-52.
“Other than a couple of defensive lapses, we played a pretty complete game. Blake Lacey did a great job of knocking down three’s and distributing the ball. Thomas Waido continues to do a great job defensively out front on our 1-3-1.” Said Coach Kevin Scheef.
Blake Lacey led Wahoo with 27 points on 6-14 from behind the arc, to go with 7 assists and 5 steals. Thomas Waido had 16 points on 7-9 shooting, to go with 7 boards, 7 steals, and 4 assists. Winston Cook had 14 points and 8 boards, and Trey Scheef added 11 points and 4 steals.
The Warriors forced 31 Shamrock turnovers, and were 21-30 (70%) from two point range.
Wahoo improves to 18-3, and will host Ashland-Greenwood on Saturday. Columbus Scotus drops to 5-15. |
