12/14/18 ................... At Wahoo The Wahoo Warriors defeated the Fort Calhoun Pioneers 87-40 Friday night in Capitol Conference action in Wahoo. The Warriors led 27-14 after one quarter, and extended the lead to 52-24 by halftime. Wahoo had five guys in double figures, led by Blake Lacey with 16 points on 3-4 shooting from behind the arc, to go with 4 steals. Gerardo Madrid had a career high 13 points and 4 assists. Winston Cook added 12 points and 4 assists. Karson Hesser had 12 points, and Trey Scheef added 10 points on 4-5 shooting from the field to go with 6 assists. The Warriors were 11-18 from behind the arc, and 14-17 from the line. Wahoo forced 23 Pioneer turnovers, while committing just 9. “I thought everyone played well tonight. We were able to get a lot of guys significant minutes, and we got a lot of positive contributions. I thought we played hard and moved the ball pretty well.” Said Coach Kevin Scheef. Wahoo improves to 3-2, and will travel to Yutan on Monday night. Fort Calhoun drops to 2-4. |
