1/15/19 At Raymond Central The Wahoo Warriors defeated the Raymond Central Mustangs 83-36 in Capitol Conference action on Tuesday at Raymond Central. Wahoo jumped out to a 21-1 lead midway through the first period, and led after one quarter 30-6. Winston Cook had 12 first quarter points, and Thomas Waido added 10. The lead was extended the lead to 57-16 at the half. “I thought we played with good intensity. We shared the ball and played pretty well.” Said Coach Kevin Scheef. Winston Cook led Wahoo with 20 points on 10-15 shooting and 9 boards. Thomas Waido added 14 points on 7-7 shooting from the field, and 5 boards. Blake Lacey contributed 10 points. Trevor Kasischke had 9 points and 4 boards. Brett Greenfield added 8 points. Wahoo out rebounded Raymond Central 36-19, and forced 21 Mustang turnovers. Wahoo shot 60.7% (37-61) from the field. Wahoo improves to 11-3, and will host Norfolk Catholic on Friday night. Raymond Central drops to 1-12. |
