The Wahoo Warriors defeated the Blair Bears 81-46 at home, on Senior night, in the final game of the regular season.
The Warriors scored the first 12 points of the game on a Triston Keeney bucket, a Gerardo Madrid trey, five points from Trey Scheef, and a Thomas Waido jumper. Wahoo led 25-11 after one quarter.
Wahoo stretched the lead to 52-22 on a 35 foot shot from Thomas Waido to end the half. The Warriors led 71-31 after three quarters.
Thomas Waido and Trey Scheef led the Warriors with 16 points a piece. Waido added 7 steals and 5 assists. Scheef was 9-9 from the line to go with 4 assists. Triston Keeney added 13 points. Gerardo Madrid had 9 points on 3-4 from behind the arc. Trevor Kasischke scored 9 points. Braden Harris had 6 points and 6 boards.
The Warriors were 11-19 from behind the arc (57.9%), and were 18-20 (90%) from the free throw line. Wahoo forced 20 Bear turnovers.
“I thought we played well. We got off to a great start. We shot the ball well, which is due to getting really good ball movement. We played how we wanted to play heading into Sub-District action next week.” Said Coach Kevin Scheef.
Wahoo improved to 22-1, and will face the winner of Mount Michael and Schuyler on Tuesday night at Wahoo. Blair dropped to 4-17.
