The Wahoo Warriors defeated the Columbus Scotus Shamrocks 77-39 on Tuesday night in Wahoo.
Wahoo raced out to a 13-0 lead behind a trey from Triston Keeney, and three more treys from Trey Scheef. Wahoo led 22-8 after one quarter, and stretched the lead to 45-17 at the half. The Warriors led 65-28 after three quarters.
“For it being our fourth game in five nights, I was really pleased with our intensity and energy tonight. We wanted to get off to a good start and we did just exactly that. We got really good production from a lot of kids tonight.” Said Coach Kevin Scheef.
Trey Scheef led Wahoo with 18 points on 4-5 shooting from behind the arc. Braden harris had 11 points on 5-7 shooting from the field to go with 6 boards. Gerardo Madrid, Trevor Kasischke, and Thomas Waido all contributed 9 points. Madrid was 3-3 from behing the arc. Garrett Grandgenett added 8 points off the bench. Triston Keeney had a game high 8 assists.
Wahoo forced 20 Shamrock turnovers, while committing just 7 themselves. Wahoo also had 25 assists on 27 of their made field goals.
Wahoo improves to 20-1, and will travel to Ashland on Saturday to take on the Bluejays. Columbus Scotus drops to 4-16.
