Two Triston Keeney free throws with 1:10 left put Wahoo up 52-48. Following a Crete free throw, Trey Scheef hit two free throws to make it 54-49 with 50 seconds left.  An Owen Hancock free throw put the Warriors up 55-49 with 36 seconds left.  A Crete trey with 26 seconds left cut the lead to 55-52.  Two more Owen Hancock free throws made it 57-52 with 20 seconds left. Crete hit another trey with 16 seconds left to make it 57-55. A Gerardo Madrid assist to Thomas Waido clinched the game with 10 seconds left to make it 59-55.

“Crete’s length in their 1-3-1 caused us a lot of problems.  We had chances to stretch the lead and take control of the game, but were just never able to do so.  It was really a grind it out type of game.” Said Coach Kevin Scheef.

Thomas Waido and Trey Scheef led the Warriors with 15 points a piece.  Waido also had a team high 8 boards. Triston Keeney added 14 points. Trevor Kasischke added 9 points, 5 boards, and 4 assists.

The Warriors improved to 9-1, while Crete dropped to 5-5.  The Warriors will host Platteview on Friday night.
