The Wahoo Warriors defeated the Syracuse Rockets 66-28 on Monday night in a rescheduled game in Syracuse.
The Rockets scored the first six points of the game to take a 6-0 lead. The Warriors would score the next 22 points of the game to take a 22-6 lead after one quarter. Trey Scheef scored 12 first quarter points.
Wahoo would increase the lead to 49-15 at halftime, as reserves then played most of the second half.
“We had a slow start, but then we got things going and played pretty well. Braden Harris has had a stretch of three really good games.” Said Coach Kevin Scheef.
Trey Scheef led Wahoo with 16 points. Braden Harris added 12 on 4-4 shooting from the line and 4 steals. Triston Keeney added 9 points, and Thomas Waido had 8 points and 8 boards. Trevor Kasischke added 8 points, 5 steals, and 4 assists.
The Warriors forced 22 Rocket turnovers, while committing just 8.
Wahoo improves to 16-1, while Syracuse falls to 0-17. Wahoo will travel to Arlington on Friday night.
