A Triston Keeney bucket to open the half put Wahoo up 40-35, but D.C. West would go on an 8-0 run to take a 43-40 lead. A three point play from Marcus Glock followed by six straight Trevor Kasischke points, put Wahoo back up at 49-45. D.C. West cut the Warrior lead to 50-47, but a 7-1 run put Wahoo up 57-48. A Trevor Kasischke layup, a Triston Keeney trey and a Marcus Glock bucket put Wahoo up by nine. The Warriors would head to the fourth quarter with a 64-52 lead.
D.C. West cut the lead to 65-55, but two Marcus Glock free throws and a Trevor Kasischke bucket put Wahoo up 69-55, and the Warriors would not be threatened the rest of the way.
Trevor Kasischke led Wahoo with 24 points, 6 boards, and 7 steals. Triston Keeney had 20 points on 6-6 shooting from the field and 5-6 shooting from the line, to go with7 boards, and 4 assists. Marcus Glock added 13 points. Owen Hancock added 8 points, 5 boards, and 6 assists. Garrett Grandgenett had a season high 14 rebounds.
Wahoo shot just 37.5% from the field, compared to 51.2% for D.C. West, but outrebounded the Falcons 41-32 and had just 13 turnovers, compared to 20 for D.C. West.
Wahoo improves to 16-4 and will travel to Beatrice on Tuesday. D.C. West falls to 13-7.
