The Wahoo Warriors defeated the Lincoln Lutheran Warriors 83-47 on Tuesday night in Lincoln.
Wahoo jumped out to a 9-0 lead behind 5 points from Garrett Grandgenett, a trey from Owen Hancock, and a free throw from Trevor Kasischke. Lutheran closed the lead to 17-15, but Wahoo led 21-16 after one quarter.
Wahoo scored the first 7 points of the second quarter. Two free throws from Owen Hancock, a Marcus Glock bucket, a Trevor Kasischke free throw, and a Myles Simon lay ups put Wahoo up 28-16. Wahoo led at the halftime break 40-26.
Wahoo’s lead was 44-33 with 5:00 minutes left in the third, when they began to pull away. A 14-2 run, put Wahoo up 58-35, and Wahoo led after three 67-38.
Marcus Glock led Wahoo with 20 points on 7-7 shooting from the field, and 4-4 from the line. Owen Hancock had 16 points, 4 steals, and 4 assists.
