The Wahoo Warriors defeated the Arlington Eagles 77-36 on Tuesday night in the first round of sub-district action at Wahoo.

The Warriors started off slowly offensively. They led just 4-3 with under four minutes to play in the first quarter, but extended the lead to 14-6 by the end of the first quarter.

Wahoo opened up the game in the second quarter, and went to halftime with a 36-12 lead. Wahoo led 62-28 after three quarters.

Anthony Simon led the Warriors with 19 points on 7-10 shooting from the field, and 3 steals. Marcus Glock had 13 points on 3-4 shooting from behind the arc. Myles Simon had 10 points on 4-4 shooting from the field. Garrett Grandgenett had 9 points on 4-5 shooting from the field to go with 6 boards. Owen Hancock had 5 boards and 4 steals.

Wahoo was 30-43 (69.8%) shooting from the field, while holding Arlington to 13-39 (33.3%) from the field. Wahoo outrebounded the Eagles 28-16.

Wahoo improves to 21-2 and will face Bishop Neumann in the Sub-District final on Thursday night. Arlington ends it’s season at 8-15.
