The Wahoo Warriors defeated the Crete Cardinals 63-52 on Saturday afternoon in Crete.

The first quarter was tight and ended with Crete up 15-14. The Warriors took a 24-20 lead midway through the second quarter on a trey by Benji Nelson. Crete went to halftime though with a 29-27 lead.

Crete led by 4 with four minutes to play in the third at 39-35. Wahoo would go on a 15-3 run the rest of the quarter. Garrett Grandgenett had 8 of those 15 points, and Marcus Glock had 5. Wahoo went to the fourth quarter with a 50-42 lead.

A Kamron Kasischke lay up and a Myles Simon free throw to begin the fourth put Wahoo up 53-42, and the Cardinals would get no closer than 9 the rest of the way.

Wahoo committed just 6 turnovers for the game compared to 15 for Crete. Wahoo outrebounded Crete 27-21.

Marcus Glock led Wahoo with 16 points. Garrett Grandgenett had 12 points and 5 boards. Benji Nelson added 12 points. Kamron Kasischke contributed 9 points. Owen Hancock had a team high 6 boards. Myles Simon had 5 assists.

Wahoo improves to 9-1, and will host Blair on Tuesday. Crete falls to 4-7.
