Wahoo defeated Elkhorn North in the first round of the Holiday Tourney at Bishop Neumann, 73-52.

A Myles Simon lay up gave Wahoo a 13-11 lead after one quarter. The score was still tight at 20-19 midway through the second quarter. A Marcus Glock bucket, followed by an Anthony Simon bucket, a Garrett Grandgenett trey, a Benji Nelson basket and another bucket from Marcus Glock capped a 11-2 run that put Wahoo up31-21. A Benji Nelson lay up at the buzzer sent Wahoo to halftime with a 35-24 lead.

Wahoo was up 37-27 early in the third, when back to back treys from Owen Hancock and Marcus Glock put Wahoo up 43-27. Wahoo led 56-39 after three quarters, and would not be threatened in the fourth quarter as they went on to the 73-52 win.

Owen Hancock led the Warriors with 22 points on 4-6 shooting from three point range, and 9-13 from the field overall. Marcus Glock added 18 points and 4 assists. Garrett Grandgenett had 11 points and 7 boards, and Benji Nelson added 10 points and 5 boards. Myles Simon added 5 boards and 5 assists.

The Warriors committed just 6 turnovers while forcing Elkhorn North into 15 turnovers. Wahoo out rebounded the Wolves 32-25.

Wahoo improves to 5-1 and will face Seward in the Finals of the Holiday Tournament today. Elkhorn North drops to 3-5.
